The Multicultural Center Prague is a non-profit organization ("občanské sdružení") registered by the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic on 7 October 1999 under No. VS/1-1/41 464/99-R. Our library has been registered by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic under No. 5987/2004.

Dagmar Sieglová graduated from the School of Philosophy, Charles University in Prague in applied linguistics. In her dissertation theses, she focused on sociolinguistic analysis of child second language interaction. During her doctorate studies, she spent 18 months as a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education from where she obtained her master's degree in intercultural communication in the past. In her professional career, she worked as a director for a study abroad program, led diversity management workshops and lectures as well as participated in the LINEE research project focused on European multilingualism. As an executive director of MKC from April 2010, she is responsible for project coordination and supervision.

Barbora Hořavová graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University in Prague where she studied political science. She has been working in the Multicultural Center Prague since 2000 as a coordinator for education and culture and later of the Media and Minorities project. Since 2003, she has been intensively involved in devising strategy of librarianship. In the fall of 2004, she became the organization's executive director. Since the summer 2008 she has been coordinating the Diversity Management seminars, since the April 2009 she has been our financial director. She also participates in the project Regularization as One of the Tools for the Fight against Irregular Migration.

Hana Kuličková graduated from the High School of Economics. In MKC Prague she has been, as an office and financial assistant, cooperating since April 2009.

Denisa Zobačová is a student of Faculty of Philosophy and Art of the Charles University in Prague. Denisa has been cooperating with the library of MKC Prague since January 2009. She is responsible for the management of library collections, library services, Czech press monitoring and Calendar of Events on the mkc.cz.

Ondřej Daniel graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, from the department of History, where he currently is a doctoral student. During his studies he focused on nationalism, popular culture and migration from the former Yugoslavia. Since February 2008 he has been working as the web editor for the European City website.

Barbora Loudová Stralczynská studies German philology at the Faculty of Philosophy and Art at the Charles University in Prague and is finisching the Primary school pedagogy at the Faculty of Education in Prague. During her studies she spent a term at the University of Basel focusing on the structure of primary education in german speaking countries. She has been working at MKC Praha since January 2009 as a coordinator of the project "Czech Made?". Since May she has been coordinating an european project Libraries for All.

Andrea Bachtíková graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, specialised in Regional Studies and Public Administration, and Environmental Economics. After that she has worked in the field of environmental education in the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic. From January 2010, she became the coordinator of the Czech Indian educational project La Ngonpo.

Tereza Blahoutová studied sociology at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno. Her master thesis has focused on the resettlement programme of Chin refugees from Burma to the Czech Republic. Currently, she studies public economy at the Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University in Brno. She has been working in Multicultural Centre Prague since August 2010 as editor of the migrationonline.cz.

Barbora Tošnerová studied Western European Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University, Prague, and Portuguese at Lisbon's Classic University. In Migrationonline she deals with the integration of immigrants and media issues.

Marie Jelínková graduated from the Faculty of Social Science of Charles University in Prague, at the Department of Social and Public Policy. She is a doctoral student and she specializes on Czech immigration policy with a special focus on Mongolian immigration. She has been working in Multicultural Centre Prague since December 2006 on www.migrationonline.cz. In MKC Praha, she is currently responsible for the project Regularization as One of the Tools for the Fight against Irregular Migration.

Tereza Rejšková studied sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University and English and American studies at the Philosophical Faculty of the same university and at the University of Kent. She is the editor-in-chief of the migrationonline.cz website. She is especially interested in the links between migration and development. She also works on the methodology of the project Stereotýpek v nás, a multicultural education project. In the past she has contributed to the following projects: Bringing Awareness of Development Issues into Regions and CSO Development Effectiveness.

Tereza Saková studies Social Work and Humanitarian Aid at Palacký University in Olomouc. During her studies she spent one semester on internship in Romania where she worked with refugees as a social worker. She currently focuses on labour immigration to the Czech Republic.

Lucie Trlifajová Lucie Trlifajová studied Anthropology at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University. During her studies she spent one year at Université de Toulouse in France (History and Sociology Department). Her diploma work was focused on the current Ukrainian migration to the Czech Republic. In migrationline.cz she is currently working on the visa problematic.

Jakob Hurrle obtained his degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the Berlin Technical University. In his thesis, he evaluated Roma targeted development projects in the rural communities of Eastern Slovakia. He is also one of the founders of the Central European magazine Plotki. He worked as an editor on www.migrationonline.cz and as a researcher on the Intercultural Map projects. He was the executive director of the Multicultural Center Prague between February 2007 and April 2010. Currently he works on the Flexi-In-Security project.

Our colleagues on maternity leave

Kateřina Březinová founded the Multicultural Center Prague in the late 1990s. After graduating from the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University in Prague, she studied Latin American studies in the United States, Spain and Mexico. She specializes in modern cultural history of Latin America and teaches at Madrid's Universidad de Carlos III. She was responsible for development of new programs and supervision of individual projects. She also works as a lecturer. She is on maternity leave since February 2007.

Romana Vylitová graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University where she studied media and communication studies and also from the Institute of Basic Education of the Charles University. She has been working in the Multicultural Center since 2003 as a coordinator of the following educational programs: School for All; Intercultural Education; and What? Me? A Racist? She is on maternity leave since October 2004.

Hana Žáková Petrová graduated from the University of Economics and the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University in Prague. She has been with us since 2001, coordinating the Information Center. She devotes most of her time to Internet projects, cooperation with other libraries and fundraising. She is on maternity leave since July 2004.
