Intercultural Photo-workshops
3 Apr 2008As part of the project Cultures from Around the Block the Multicultural Centre Prague has been holding workshops every fortnight in two diverse Prague schools.
The workshops are run by local photographers David Kumermann, Karel Tuma and Simon Chang and will allow the children explore their neighbourhood through the means of documentary photography. The project’s underlying aim is to facilitate intercultural dialogue between different communities living in the city, something which will be realised through a series of joint workshops with children from both schools.
The results of the workshops will be published in a soon-to-be launched website on local integration (europeancity.cz) and shown at three local exhibitions. Some photographs from the workshop can be seen below (taken by Simon Chang). More about the project Cultures from Around the Block.

The project is realised within the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008 an initiative of the European Union.
